Privacy Policy
What CCVESD collects about you, why, who it is shared with, and how long it is kept.
1. Scope
This policy covers personal information that CCVESD — the Central Committee for Vocational Education and Skill Development — collects through https://ccvesd.in/: the admission form, the contact form, the certificate verification page, and ordinary use of the site.
2. What we collect
When you apply for admission: your name, parents' or guardian's names, date of birth, gender, category, address, mobile number and email address; your educational background; the programme and study centre you are applying to; and the documents and photograph you upload in support.
When you contact us: your name, email address, phone number and the message you send.
When you pay: the payment reference, the amount, the payment method, the date, and the contact details you give Razorpay. We do not collect or store your card number, UPI PIN, CVV, or net banking credentials. Those are entered on Razorpay's systems and never reach this website.
When you use the site: your IP address, browser type and the page you arrived from, recorded with form submissions to deter abuse.
3. Why we use it
- to record and scrutinise your application, and to decide it;
- to allot your application and enrolment numbers;
- to collect and reconcile the admission fee;
- to communicate with you about your application, examinations and results;
- to issue certificates and to allow them to be verified;
- to provide placement support in connection with a certified programme;
- to protect the site against abusive or automated submissions;
- to meet our record-keeping obligations as a certifying body.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
- Razorpay, our payment gateway, which processes payments and holds the payment credentials we never see. Razorpay handles that data under its own privacy policy.
- Your authorised study centre, so that it can enrol, teach and examine you.
- Our email provider, which carries the confirmations and notifications we send.
- Anyone verifying a certificate. A person who has the enrolment number printed on a certificate can confirm at our verification page that it is genuine. The result shows only the details needed for that confirmation.
- Authorities, where we are required by law to disclose information.
5. Cookies
This site sets only the cookies WordPress needs to work — for example, to keep a signed-in administrator signed in, and to carry a form's security token between pages. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Blocking cookies in your browser may stop the admission and contact forms from submitting.
6. How long we keep it
Applications, enrolment records and certification records are kept for as long as we need them to support a certificate we have issued, because a certificate must remain verifiable long after it is awarded. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with the enquiry. Payment records are kept as long as our financial record-keeping obligations require.
7. How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS. Uploaded documents are stored outside the publicly reachable part of the site and are served only to signed-in staff with the right permission. Access to applications in the administration area is restricted to accounts that have been granted it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of what we hold.
8. Your choices
You may ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct anything inaccurate, or to delete information we no longer need to keep. Write to info@ccvesd.in from the email address on your application, quoting your application number, and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Where we are obliged to retain a certification record so that a certificate stays verifiable, we will tell you that, and why, rather than deleting it.
9. Children
Applicants under 18 should apply with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us information without that consent, write to us and we will deal with it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
